Hey friends! Here's a long overdue update on what we've been up to and what's coming ahead.
New CD
The Receders are back in the studio again and working on our 2nd CD. We've got another full plate of great tunes to serve up again this time, and our CD release party is all set for Saturday, May 18 at the Pioneer Place Theater in St. Cloud. Make sure to join us!
Summer gigs
We've got a great summer lined up this year starting with the Sauk Rapids Food Fest on June 22. Then on July 3 we have the honor of playing for the Joetown Rocks party in St. Joe! And as if that wasn't cool enough, we have also been selected as one of the 13 bands to play at Summertime By George! on Wednesday, August 7.
We are so excited to be involved in all of this and are really looking forward to seeing you this summer.

Gearing up for summer!
Hi everybody! In case you're wondering where we've been, there is no need to fear... we are definitely lining up tons of new gigs for this spring and summer.
When we took off several months last fall to hire and train our new bass player, we lost the opportunity to book this spring and summer because most night clubs require 6-8 months of advance notice, and now we are that far behind.
But the good new is... we have lots of new events in the works and will be locking them in very soon. Watch for these great gigs:
May 1 - YMCA Promenade Fundraiser at the St. Cloud Civic Center (9:00pm - Midnight)
June 5 - Receders Dance Party! at the Pioneer Place Theatre (8:30pm - 11:30pm)
June 26 - The Rapids River Food Fest in Sauk Rapids (1:30pm - 4:30pm)
July 24 - Stubs Dining and Saloon in Battle Lake, MN
So stayed tuned folks. We'll keep updating this blog AND our schedule page as we lock in these dates and times. In the meantime... don't forget to pick up our new CD here if you haven't already!

We're Back!
Hey everyone!
After a waaaaay too long break from the stage we are finally back and ready to rock. Some of you may know that our beloved bass player, Mike, had to move to Nashville for his job, and as a result we had to find a replacement. This is what is known as, "easier said than done." Mike has really big feet and henceforth his shoes are very hard to fill.
But I'm thrilled to say that we now have an excellent new bass player (with similar sized feet) lined up and ready to go. When you meet him, make sure to give the new guy John a warm welcome.
In the meantime... gear up for our first show on Friday, January 8 at the Pioneer Place Theatre where we will rock it up with a DANCE party from 8:00 - midnight! Tickets will go on sale in mid November so stay tuned.
And don't wait... WE SOLD OUT in only 10 days the last time!

The Receders CD is now available!
After nearly a year of discussing, planning, recording, mixing, producing, photographing, designing, packaging and a whole bunch of other verbing - our CDs have finally arrived and are now available for sale. Yay!
And let me tell you... this CD is fantastic, and I'm not just saying that because I'm on it. It really is a great album and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out - or more proud of the guys. WAY TO GO BOYS!
So if you're interested in hearing what it is I've been yackin about for the last 4 years, go here to pick one up. And if you like it, please tell your friends. We'd like to sell enough of these to at least recoup our studio expenses. But even more than that, we really want to share our labor of love, and hopefully turn you on to some great new tunes along the way.So thank you in advance for giving The Receders a shot. Saturday Night at Cones Bar & Grill
Even though it was a million degrees below zero, tons of people still stopped out to party with us all night long on Saturday. Now THAT'S dedication!

Welcome to our Blog!
This is the place to find out what's hap'nen with The Receders.
Starting from this point forward, I'll be posting upcoming events, pictures of the gigs, and tales from the crypts clubs.
The biggest news right now is that we're almost finished with our new CD. If you didn't already know, we've been recording at Rockhouse Studio in St. Joseph, MN for that last month or so. All we have left to do now is add a few more solo and vocal tracks, mix it down and package it up!
Then, on or around April 24th, we'll be hosting a huge bash at the Pioneer Place Theater in downtown St. Cloud for our album release party. It's going to be the most fun we've ever had as a band. I can guarantee it!
So put us on your feed readers and stop back often. The Receders are just getting warmed up - and we're planning on being VERY hot soon!
